bounty hunter girl

hey this is a small character design i am currently thinking of in my sparetime. she is a bounty hunter.
her abilities are handling various guns and machinery including aircrafts.
she has a fopul mouth and likes to eat pizza in her underwear in front of the tv. :)
she has a male partner who will act as her opposite personality but I havent quite figured the guy out yet.
this is not a final drawing but a step in my process

It has been a while since last I posted something...
because I have been on DADIU. A project where students from different schools come together to make a computer game in a month.
there were an art director, game director, project manager, game designer, sound designers, programmers, animators and CG artists - to which category I belong.
13 people all in all and we made a nice little game called
"Else - defender of earth".
it is online and free to play for everyone who wants too. Enjoy.

- I didn't make the main character Else, but I did make most of the objects around the earth; the statue of liberty, Jesus in Rio, gateway of India, great wall of China, Buddha, some cities, the trees and pyramids, the rocking chair and the volcano among others, plus I did some texturing - again some of the cities, trees, pyramids, great wall of China, the statue of liberty, Jesus and Buddha.

This piece I wanted to do to participate in a small manga contest in the local library. It was suposed to just be a manga drawing, no specifications at all.
I wanted to draw more and do 2D stuff since we do so much 3D in school.
So here is my manga police/undercover agent type of girl.

Here is the moddeled creature. Still in progress though.
I still need to make the teeth and saddle and all the little things called ornaments:)
The 2 gray images are from maya and the beige is a screen image from the more detailed work I did in Autodesk Mudbox (a sculpting tool)

Here are some of the initial sketches for the project quadroped (4 legged creature)
I was very mush inspired by the deer god from the movie princess mononoke. luckily the guys liked the idea. so we researched a lot and came up with something crasy and antelope/goat/avatar/deer like. I like the result a lot.
I did some of the drawings and animators Keld Nissen and Nikolaj themothæussen did some. Nikolaj did the awesome saddle equipment

so now the holiday is over and a new project has begun.
this time we are to design, model and rig a 4 legged creature. I work with to talented animators who takes part in the design and hopefully they will animate the creature later on. If so I will ad it to a background and take it through compositing.

High Noon trailer

This it the final outcome of the 3 1/2 months long trailer project. in the end it turned out really nice i think. Thanks so much to all of those people who helped creating it. Tommy, Simon and me who did the design, modelling, texturing, ligthing and sound. And the nice animators Caroline, Keld, Carmen and Niels who helped us with the animations and did great. and a big thanks to our fantastic teachers and coordinator Anja Perl as well. hope you enjoy watching it.

On the trailer project I did some of the probs and this is a part of the cage I did.
A rocodile skull. It is not super realistic but i suits the purpose.
there is no textures(color/surface texture) on it yet, only a flat color and the wireframe(black lines) from the program, so you can se the flow of edges I created when moddeling it.

in our trailer project we had 3 different characters. this in one of the sketches for the female character i worked on.

we started a new project at school. in 1 semester we are working in groups of 3 people, trying to make a trailer for a movie. the styla and time period has to be different though. a great challange.
my group have the movie High Noon from 1952, a black and white western movie.
we are translating it into a scary drama in the prehistoric period. so it takes place in a cave with neanderthal people.

This week we start a new project. we are to create a biped, a 2 legged creature. We will be working with this project for te next 6 weeks, designing, sculppting in clay, texturing and and posing it.
This week is about design.
Heres is 3 silhuettes of my character, who is a fox like woman with robot legs. And she is a blacksmith on top of that :)

The new project for this week and the next 2 is to create a nice room and make a timelaps in it. Meaning to show how the lights behave in the room for an entire day. And animate it. This week was about furnishing the room and putting textures on them plus a little light. this is a test render. I still need to work on the light and textures next week. And find a chair and a lamp.
Done in a 3D program called Maya, supervised by teacher Olliver Kirchoff.

this I did in watercolor and watercolor pencils. I did it for my portfolio when I applied for the education at the Animation Workshop. I made it a bit darker and slightly more grainy in photoshop before putting it on the blog, because it loses the grainy feel real paper has, when you scan it.
